Our team has been formed from scientific backgrounds and recruitment industry knowledge. We specialise in research and development led industries including pharmaceuticals, medical device, bio-technology, food & beverage and consumer products. • All areas of our business operate a healthy and safe environment for our candidates, employees, and visitors
  • We are committed to honesty and transparency in our communication with candidates, employees, visitors and contractors
  • Our purchasing department always consider ethical and environmental obligations in all activities, for example preferring to source supplies locally where possible

Environment

Our aim is to not simply develop the landscape of science recruitment but to make a positive impact to the environment. We actively seek new ways to minimise our environmental impact within our office from reducing waste to recycling materials. Here are just some of the actions we take to reduce our carbon footprint:

Reducing energy consumption & recycling - by using higher efficiency systems and low energy lighting, maximise use of e-mail rather than printing and recycling as much as possible

Commuting - where possible staff use public transport to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to and from work

Raising awareness - everyone is encouraged to conserve at home as well as in the office.

Community

We work with our stakeholders, clients, candidates and suppliers to understand the ever-changing science, technology and engineering community priorities to identify how we can play a role in addressing these. Working with like minded organisations to make the world a better place and improving the quality of life for all is one of our core values.

HRS is proud to support Alzheimer’s Society and Jeans for Genes. Both make a huge difference to the sectors we recruit for and are inline with our company values.

"I’m involved with Jeans for Genes for a number of reasons. As a scientist, I care about helping people and that’s fundamental to what this charity is about. Fundraising for charities should be fun and throughout the process people need to remember who they’re helping, how it’s helping and the most important thing of all; raising awareness of genetic disorders. On Jeans for Genes Day I’ll be wearing my jeans, I’ll be wearing my jean shoes, my jean baseball cap and my denim shirt. As much denim as I can wear I’ll be wearing it. Do something extraordinary and get involved too!" Ricky Martin
