Role Overview

Do you have a Sales or Business Development background working within the Biologics Drug Substance space? If so, this could be the job youve been looking for.

We are currently looking for a Account Director (Biologics Drug Substance) to join a leading drug substance development and manufacturing business. You will be based in Europe with easy access to an airport for international travel, which will approximately account for 50% of the role.

As the Account Director (Biologics Drug Substance) you will be responsible for establishing new biologics drug substance partnerships within your territory (primarily across Europe). Success will be largely measured by sales and revenue growth and requires a high level of technical and commercial acumen.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Account Director (Biologics Drug Substance) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Develop and execute on the territory sales plan with the objective to achieve annual sales targets through closing of new deals. Identify, open, lead and close business development deals with new and existing clients; promoting company visibility, growth and profitability.

2. You will have overall responsibility to manage the business development activities for a given target territory. Responsible for building and continued increase in the opportunity pipeline. Implement strategies aimed toward increasing revenue and market share in the target region.

3. Organise and attend site visits with prospective clients; setting agendas, coordinating team participation and leading discussions. Follow with diligent feedback and strategies to address any concerns.

4. Develop, nurture and maintain a positive, constructive and trusting working relationship with members of relevant internal teams at both site locations. Provide market intelligence acquired through sales initiatives to business development and other cross-functional teams.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Account Director (Biologics Drug Substance) we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree qualification in a Life Sciences or Biological discipline. Ideally qualified with an advanced qualification, such as a MSc, Phd or MBA.

2. The successful candidate will have Biologics Industry Technical sales experience. This could be a combination of biologics drug substance technical / operations experience, with a combination of technical sales or commercial operations.

3. You will have a broad knowledge of the Biologics industry with a focus on, EU Market trends, EU Regulatory knowledge and Competitive selling strategies. Experience using Salesforce would be a bonus.
