Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Analytical Scientist to join a leading Life Science company based in the Manchester area. As the Analytical Scientist you will be responsible for the development and operation of analytical methods for biosurfactants.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Analytical Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Analytical Scientist you will development analytical methods for the analysis of biosurfactants.

2. As well as analysing product composition, you will analyse the behaviour of the surfactants both on their own and in formulations.

3. As the Analytical Scientist you will focus on hands on work in the laboratory using analytical techniques such as HPLC, MS, GC, FTIR as well as wet chemistry analytical techniques, such as titrations, and solvent extractions.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Analytical Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in Chemistry or related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in analytical chemistry using techniques such as HPLC, MS, GC, FTIR and wet chemistry.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with method development and validation of analytical techniques. Experience with surfactants is very desirable.
