Role Overview

Are you an experienced automation or manufacturing engineer looking for a new exciting opportunity?

We are currently looking for an Automation / Manufacturing Engineer to join an expanding technology company based in the Fife area.

As the Automation / Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the development and scale up of the company's current pilot production manufacturing capability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Automation / Manufacturing Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be working with external equipment manufacturers to integrate the company's technology into a Roll to Roll full web width production line. The subsequent machine acceptance and production capability trials will also form part of this role.

2. As the manufacturing engineer, you will be responsible for the development of high-volume automated production equipment as well as specification of design, and manufacture of pilot production line. You will be developing the manufacturing processes and corresponding SOPs for production equipment.

3. Your responsibilities will also include integration of lasers, optics and vision systems into a Roll to Roll manufacturing process and improving the company's existing pilot / prototype production processes.

4. Lastly, you will also be assisting with developing procedures and methodology for handling thin film photosensitive material and processing in a high-volume production environment, whilst preparing FMEA and DFM reviews of production processes and manufacturing equipment.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Automation / Manufacturing Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. For the Manufacturing Engineer role, it is essential you have experience working in a high-volume production environment and experience working with thin film materials (or similar).

2. You will also need to have experience with optics, lasers and vision systems in an automated production environment and also experience of mechanical design of high-volume automated manufacturing equipment.

3. Experience of Roll to Roll production equipment specification and control would be desirable, as well as knowledge of PPAP process and ISO 16949.
