Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Bioinformatics Scientist to join a leading BioTech company based in the Cheshire area. As the Bioinformatics Scientist you will be responsible for supporting proteomics data analysis, running and maintaining the company's suite of Bioinformatics tools and building new Bioinformatics solutions.Key Duties and Responsibilities
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Bioinformatics Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. You will be using Bioinformatics tools to analyse large proteomics and phosphoproteomics datasets
2. You will assist in semi-automating the current Bioinformatics workflows
3. You will be using proteomic data analysis software to identify peptides from raw data
4. You will be presenting results to internal stakeholders and external partners
Role Requirements
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Bioinformatics Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a similar subject
2. Proven experience working with proteomic Bioinformatics
3. A working knowledge and practical experience handling, modelling, and drawing inferences from large volume biological datasets, as well as strong experience developing scripts
