Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Business Development Assistant to join an exciting chemical formulation company based in the Manchester area. As the Business Development Assistant you will be responsible for assisting with marketing, account management and business development responsibilities across the business.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Business Development Assistant will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. You will play a key part in generating leads, developing new business and managing incoming orders from existing accounts.
2. You will manage and maintain customer relationships, following up on order progress and handling incoming queries and complaints.
3. You will assist in the companies marketing activity, developing a marketing strategy and creating marketing content.
4. As the Business Development Assistant, you will occasionally be required to visit key customers in order to drive sales.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the1. Relevant degree in a Life Science subject e.g. Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology
2. Proven industry experience in a customer facing role, either in a business development setting or otherwise.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with surfactants, formulation or fermentation would be highly advantageous to your application.
