Role Overview

Hyper Recruitment Solutions are currently searching for a UK Business Development Manager - Biologics to join an exciting Biologics CMO and Innovation organisation. As the UK Business Development Manager - Biologics you will be responsible for identifying, hunting and securing deals across the UK, with a focus on Bioprocess, managing projects and developing customer relationships in order to increase revenue.

This role is field based across the UK.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the UK Business Development Manager - Biologics will be varied however the key responsibilities are as follows:

1. Identify and target academic, pharmaceutical and research organisations who are developing novel products in the Bioprocess area for possible collaborations or contract manufacturing of biologics.

2. As the UK Business Development Manager - Biologics, you will attend events and conferences for targeted networking and to raise our clients profile in the Bioprocess and Biotechnology Sector.

3. Build collaborative partnerships and relationships with research centres, universities, technology transfer offices and academic communities, through networking, to ensure a flow of high quality projects.

4. Using your technical knowledge, provide a consultative sales service to customers to ensure repeat business and uphold reputation.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the UK Business Development Manager - Biologics we are looking to identify the following:

1. Relevant degree in a Scientific or Engineering discipline, such as Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical engineering, Biochemistry or Bioprocessing. An MSc or PhD is desirable.

2. Proven industry experience in Business Development role within a biotechnology or bioprocess organisation / CMO, hunting and closing new business. Experience in collaborations is desirable.

3. A working knowledge of the industrial applications of synthetic biology, biocatalysts and bioprocess, and practical experience of Synthetic Biology, Systems Biology, Fermentation, Biocatalysm, or Biorefining.
