Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager - Clinical Genomics, EMEA to join a leading US company, this role will be home based from a key European location, ideally UK or Germany.

As the Business Development Manager - Clinical Genomics, EMEA you will be responsible for all key account strategy, management and sales activities for molecular and Clinical Genomics products across assigned key diagnostic and biotechnology accounts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Business Development Manager - Clinical Genomics, EMEA will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Target senior level decision makers (Director-level and executive level) within the R&D, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality and Commercial Operations functions where required and present the companies products and capabilities to drive strong sales growth, and strong long-term business relationships within these key molecular diagnostic accounts.

2. Play a pivotal role in advancing the companies knowledge of the changing MDx market, including natural validation materials sourcing by leveraging a deep understanding of the diagnostics testing market, industry relationships within testing laboratories and providing strategic sourcing direction as required.

3. Build a comprehensive business strategy and travel plan to include all elements necessary to meet or exceed all goals for sales growth, profitability and customer satisfaction in the assigned key accounts.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this opportunity as the Business Development Manager - Clinical Genomics, EMEA we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A strong understanding of the advanced molecular diagnostics and Clinical Genomics markets in Europe, including strong knowledge of IVD assay development and commercialization processes within the leading molecular IVD companies, and research/clinical genetics testing labs.

2. Significant experience selling molecular products into Research and Development departments and Clinical labs in the in vitro diagnostic market, including selling to pathology laboratories running NGS-based laboratory developed tests in the areas of reproductive health (such as non-invasive prenatal testing), oncology, inherited disease and infectious disease.

3. Drive adoption of new NGS reference materials and prototypes by leveraging existing testing laboratory contacts. Industry and country specific knowledge will be utilized to identify and develop opportunities to expand our existing product portfolio. They must be able to work closely with the strategic marketing teams and assist the internal group within operations with lead generation, and account management as necessary.

4. Experience in managing accounts at senior levels across Europe and Middle East (with additional Asia market experience desirable). Developing strategic account plans to increase sales revenue and achieve gross margin targets for all assigned key accounts. Provide accurate and timely business forecast on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis for both potential and current customers.
