Cell Line Development Lead

We are currently looking for a Principal Scientist - Cell Line Development to join a leading Biotechnology company based in Vancouver, Canada. As the Principal Scientist - Cell Line Development you will be responsible for the generation of mammalian cell lines that express antibodies and other therapeutic proteins.


A dedicated internal immigration team, will support with relocation and/or visa processes.

Your duties as the Principal Scientist - Cell Line Development will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will support the integration of the HT and automated workflows.

2. In this role you will generate recombinant CHO cell lines, from vector design up to selection of stable lines to be ready for cell banking.

3. You will be part of a small team and supervise the junior members.

4. You will actively contribute to regulatory submissions, such as IND and Module 3.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Principal Scientist - Cell Line Development we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree (BSc/MSc/PHD) in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Immunology.

2. Extensive experience with CHO cell line development workflows for antibody or viral vector manufacturing.

3. Experience with people leadership (mentorship or supervision) and ability to communicate clearly.
