We are currently looking for a Characterisation - Analytical Scientist to join a leading company based in the North West on England. As the Characterisation - Analytical Scientist you will be responsible for
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Characterisation - Analytical Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.Performing tests (HPLC and LCMS Mass Spec, ELISA, etc) on large molecules, such as recombinant proteins.
2.Method validation of said tests.
3.Working closely with CMOs, in order to facilitate method transfer.
4.Write technical reports, in order to present to clients, alongside reporting to a larger team on a regular basis.
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Characterisation - Analytical Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and history:
1. Relevant degree in, ideally, BioChemistry, or related degree.
2. Proven industry experience. PhD graduates and post-doc candidates are also welcome!
3. A strong working knowledge and practical experience with HPLC, Mass Spectrometry (LCMS or GCMS) and, to a lesser extent, experience with ELISAs. This is alongside experience in method validation. The most important factor here is your experience with HPLC.
