Role Overview

Are you an experienced Analytical Development Scientist looking for an exciting new job opportunity?

We are currently looking for Development Analytical Scientists from junior to principal level to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Nottinghamshire area.

As the Development Analytical Scientist, you will be responsible for developing, optimising and qualifying analytical methods to support testing of a wide range of dosage forms for clinical dosing.

As the Principal Development Analytical Scientist, you will have the added responsibility of ensuring the successful delivery of all operational projects for clients and providing analytical method development expertise for methods that require development or further optimisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Development Analytical Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for writing analytical method qualification protocols and reports and documenting laboratory activities in write ups whilst following and ensuring GMP.

2. As the Principal Development Analytical Scientist, you will provide technical expertise on new analytical methods and where applicable further develop the methods so that they are suitable for testing the drug products that are dosed within the clinic including the validation of these methods.

3. Additionally, the Principal Development Analytical Scientist will also be responsible for identifying and installing new analytical capabilities in the Pharmaceutical Sciences department and troubleshoot any complex methodologies and technical equipment across the company.

4. All scientists within the Analytical Development team will require you to work with cross functional teams across the business and with our clients so the ability to build strong working relationships is key.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Development Analytical Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in chemistry, life sciences or pharmaceutical chemistry.

2. For the Development Analytical Scientist position, you will need to have good working knowledge of HPLC and dissolution methodologies and have experience working in a regulated laboratory environment.

3. For the Principal Development Analytical Scientist position, you will also have expertise in HPLC assays, purity and dissolution method development, validation troubleshooting and extensive knowledge in test requirements for oral dosage forms.
