Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Device Development Scientist to join a global, leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area for an initial 12 months. As the Device Development Scientist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely development of drug delivery devices, adhering to established working practices.

This role requires experience with drug delivery / combination products. For the right candidate, this role can offer a salary equivalent of up to £48,000 p/a.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Device Development Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Device Development Scientist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess and investigate the performance factors of drug delivery devices. Within this role we are looking for someone with experience in the industry and not someone who we would need to train on all aspects of drug delivery device development / working to ISO 13485.

2. As the Device Development Scientist, you will support interactions with external vendors and internal partners in design verification, shelf life studies, shipping studies, and manufacturing process qualification.

3. As the Device Development Scientist, you will assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions and participate in internal and external audits.

4. As the Device Development Scientist, you will apply scientific and engineering expertise to solve problems creatively and support decision-making processes.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Scientific - Device Development Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a science or bioengineering subject.

2. Proven industry experience in drug delivery device testing / combination products and design control systems.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with analytical method development and validation.
