We are currently looking for a Director of Project Management to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Nottinghamshire area. As the Director of Project Management you will be responsible for complete oversight of all Project Management and Commercialization activities to ensure all project deliverables are met in a timely, compliant, safe and efficient manner. This is a position which sits on the Site leadership team (SLT) and will have input on global project initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Director of Project Management will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Develop plans and processes (in compliance and coordination with the global functions and company policies) to deliver the strategic plan; to deliver the plant budget objectives and reach the team and personal goals decided with VP, PD and GM

2. Participate in project kick-off meeting. Determine timing (start date, duration of activities) of project on-boarding based on capacity, backlog and constraints (facility, equipment, personnel). Compile a risk assessment containing mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Provide project team members to generate a contact matrix. Develop a communication plan with the client, including an issue escalation pathway.

3. As the Director of Project Management you will be ultimately responsible for ensuring all projects are appropriately closed out with respect to documentation of activities, material disposition, resolving compliance items and financial gains realized.

4. Site Leadership. As a member of the Site Leadership team, participate in activities that involve cross-site impact such as identifying strategic direction, crisis management, safety and compliance. Assist the Site General Manager in establishing strategic direction for the site and setting objectives to maximize the value of the site.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Director of Project Management we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree or PhD in a Life Sciences discipline (i.e Chemistry, Life Sciences, Project Management) with proven experience leading a project management team within the Pharmaceutical industry

2. Proven industry experience in clinical development and commercial drug development is required as well as a track record successfully managing global stakeholders both internally and externally.

3. Proven Project Management qualifications would be advantageous however not a requirement fort this role. This role is to successful lead and grow Project Managers within the team.
