Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Downstream Process Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area for 12 months. As the Downstream Process Scientist you will be responsible for contributing to the development of downstream processes for the recovery and purification of antibody-based therapeutics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Downstream Process Scientist (12 months) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Undertake purification process development experiments for fundamental understanding of individual unit operations

2. Assist with the evaluation of new bioprocess technologies, identify and utilise appropriate analytical techniques

3. Demonstrate ability to analyse data, with good attention to detail

4. Effectively communicate findings to multi-disciplinary Process Development Teams

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Downstream Process Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Scientific discipline

2. Proven industry experience in Pharmaceutical or Scientific company

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with chromatography and protein conjugation techniques
