Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Electrochemist to join a leading Diagnostics company based in the Bedfordshire area. As the Electrochemist you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and contribute practically to Electrochemistry.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Electrochemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. As the Electrochemist you have a comprehensive understanding of theoretical and practical electrochemistry and be able to apply this to making and testing of electrochemical sensors incorporating molecularly imprinted polymers. They should be inventive and creative in their approach to solving problems.
2. You should also be able to demonstrate initiative in their way of working, be organized and forward thinking. It is essential to be able to learn new skills quickly in a wide and varied area of research and development.
3. As the Electrochemist you contribute ideas and solutions to all areas of the company projects requiring electrochemistry expertise. They should gain a good overall view of all aspects of the projects and understand the impacts of each part.
4. You will be a leader in driving compliance with the Quality Management System to ISO9001 standard, writing and approving documents as may be required. Training and mentoring of more junior staff members in compliance is also expected.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Electrochemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in Electrochemistry or similar related subject.
2. Proven industry experience in Electrochemistry and or working with biosensors.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience working in a development capacity under ISO-9001 or, preferably, ISO-13485 Quality Management Systems.
