Enterprise and Security Architect

We are currently looking for an Enterprise and Security Architect to join a leading cell and gene innovation and technology organisation based in the Hertfordshire area. This is predominantly an onsite role. As the Enterprise and Security Architect you will be responsible for leading, planning, developing, and delivering Architecture and Security solutions that ensures the organisation is secure, stable, flexible, and able to support world-class systems, applications and networks.

The Enterprise and Security Architect will be part of the Senior IT leadership group. The role is responsible for leading guidance and expertise across Technology and Security opinion through the implementation of recognised best-practice frameworks and governance, to take advantage of Digital and Technology opportunities whilst keeping data and services safe and secure. The key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. The Architect will work closely with the IT Director to lead and manage the enterprise and security team and architecture practice. Creating strategy, design, development and governance. • Identifying and reporting on operational risks and identifying mitigating actions, by preparing activity reports for the guidance of managers.

2. As part of the role you will be helping to identify and design solutions + standards in line with business requirements through to successfully delivering IT projects and enhancements using appropriate frameworks and technologies.

3. In the role you will be creating and maintaining the enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps. Providing technical and security assurance, reporting on and managing technology risk. Working with technical resources to deliver solutions, acting as the bridge internal capability and technology suppliers.

4. The role requires an outstanding level of communication skills to form strong relationships with key stakeholders and Users and external partners to effectively support the identification of further opportunities for the introduction of innovative new technology solutions, and the potential risks to be addressed by the appropriate response.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Enterprise and Security Architect we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a IT / Computer Science / Mathematical / Scientific field.

2. Proven industry experience in an IT Leadership role that includes identifying/ implementing solutions in the market and working with suppliers and budgets.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Record of defining and delivering Enterprise Architecture (probably TOGAF certification).
