Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Field Application Specialist to join a highly reputable biotechnology organisation, who provide upstream processing and downsteam processing equipment into the biopharmaceutical and research sectors. As the Field Application Specialist you will the expert in the Cell Line Development portfolio delivering support, training and troubleshooting to customers, as well as being the point of contact with partners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Field Application Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot issues, as well as answering queries over phone and email.

2. Deliver technical training of the Cell Line Development portfolio both externally and internally.

3. Attend conferences and exhibitions, to represent the organisation, delivering demonstrations and keep up to date with the Bioprocess and cell and gene therapy market

4. Attend meetings with partners across Europe to learn products in detail and collaborate.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Field Application Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Science, Biotechnology, Bioprocessing or Biochemical engineering subject.

2. Proven experience using cell line development techniques in a process environment within academia or a biopharmaceutical manufacturer. Experience in training, troubleshooting or providing application support is desirable.

3. A thorough knowledge and practical experience of cell line development, fermentation and upstream bioprocessing techniques.
