Role Overview

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer looking for an exciting new job opportunity?

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading Life Sciences company to cover the Midlands and North West of England.

As the Field Service Engineer you will be responsible the installation,┬ commissioning, repair and┬ servicing┬ of the company's whole product range, ensuring compliance with various standards and producing service reports and other documentation to a high standard of accuracy.

This role involves extensive travel by car visiting customers on a daily basis with occasional overnight stays as required. A company car will be provided as well as a laptop and mobile phone.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Field Service Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be responsible for providing preventative, corrective / reactive, modification and installation support to customers on a wide range of company products from blood analysers to cell counters.

2. You will monitor, fault find and take appropriate action on key metrics to provide an efficient and effective service to key clients in the clinical, biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.

3. Repair & fault diagnosis of electro-mechanical and electronic systems. You will also be responsible for providing on-site and office based customer training.

4. As the field service engineer, you will be encouraged to think outside the box and identify potential service or sales related opportunities to the Service Manager.

The ideal candidate will have previous field service experience and comfortable installing, maintaining and repairing complex electro-mechanical medical devices. Additional training on the company products will be given.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Field Service Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Qualifications are not essential for this position, however, you must have good electromechanical skills, IT skills and experience of troubleshooting and fault repair in the medical device industry. You will also need to have a full clean driving licence.

2. An ability to 'think on┬ your feet' is essential, with a┬ can do attitude┬ and a determination to┬ get equipment working to┬ manufacturers specifications.

3. Previous field service experience┬ in electromechanical┬ / computer controlled systems and any experience with networking would be an advantage.
