Graduate Technical Specialist

We are currently looking for a Graduate Technical Specialist to join a leading company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Graduate Technical Specialist you will be responsible for providing technical support through the supply of information on laboratory products and equipment that the company sell.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Graduate Technical Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will provide technical support over the phone, email and webchat to both customers and colleagues. Also maintain the blog site by responding to technical queries and application questions.

2. You will be a strong communicator and provide accurate quotations to customers in the UK, Europe and Internationally.

3. You will provide laboratory testing evaluations to study new and innovative products and compare existing products, including report writing on laboratory studies.

4. As the Graduate Technical Specialist, you will liaise with suppliers for technical information, data sheets, certificates of analysis and complete and maintain accurate records.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Graduate Technical Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A degree in Chemistry or another relevant scientific subject with strong lab experience.

2. Previous experience in a customer focussed environment would be advantageous to your application.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with laboratory equipment, through either academia or employment outside of University.
