HRS are currently looking for a Group Leader - Biocatalysis to join an innovative company who aim to revolutionise the synthesis of biomolecules using immobilised enzymes. The company is based in the Central London area. As the Group Leader - Biocatalysis you will be responsible for leading a team of three people and optimise existing and novel processes to ensure the delivery of high quality data.

This is a great opportunity for a leader with strong experience in biocatalysis within industry.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Group Leader - Biocatalysis will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will lead directly a team of three people and develop them professionally as well as keep them motivated to deliver projects on time.

2. As the Group Leader - Biocatalysis, you will ensure you optimise current and bring new processes to get the best possible immobilised enzymes performance data.

3. You will continue to enable and improve the use of automation to gather key enzyme immobilization metrics by working collaboratively with the automation function.

4. You will ensure scientific data is quantified with high accuracy and precision, recorded to a high standard that is both transparent and peer-reviewed.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Group Leader - Biocatalysis we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in chemistry. A PhD is desirable.

2. Proven industry experience in leading and team (direct line management).

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with biocatalysis, immobilised enzymes and flow-reactors.
