Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Head of Sales to join a leading Life Science organisation who are looking to significantly grow their Contract Research and Genomics division. As the Head of Sales - Genomics you will be responsible for leading a team to drive the sales of the Genomics services and the Molecular Diagnostic services. These include assay development, NGS, biomarker discovery and clinical trials.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Head of Sales - Genomics will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Lead a team of 3 Account Managers and develop strategic account plans to drive sales across the UK and Europe.

2. Use your knowledge of the Genomics and Pharmaceutical industry to be at the forefront of commercial and technical discussions to meet new and existing market service needs.

3. Be responsible for maintaining your own sales pipeline from existing and new business.

4. As the Head of Sales - Genomics you will attend all company sales meetings and be vital in deciding the future growth of the services.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Head of Sales - Genomics we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Science subject such as Biology, Biotechnology, Medicine or Genomics. MSc or PhD preferred.

2. Proven industry experience in a Sales Manager or a Senior Individual Contributor sales role in the Life Science or Biotechnology industry, selling to clinical, non-clinical, pharmaceutical and CMO comapnies.

3. A working knowledge or companies in the Molecular Diagnostics, Clinical, Biopharmaceutcial and Genomics markets.
