Role Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Sales to join an innovative Life Science start-up who, further to recent investment, are entering an exciting phase of growth and sales. As the Head of Sales you will be responsible for driving sales through managing and developing the sales team and the Global distributors network, and leading OEM sales with the ambition to become the market leader.

This generous package includes a Basic Salary, Commission and Company Equity.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Head of Sales will work closely with the board, and you key duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Manage the Global distribution channel ensuring distributors are motivated, knowledgeable and have the tools to drive sales. You will assess success and propose new distributors if needed.

2. Define, adapt and lead the Global commercial strategy, including product pricing, distributors, sales targets and commission structures. You will also lead OEM projects.

3. Maintain a strong market presence, competitor intelligence and links with external partners through trade shows, conference attendance and meetings.

4. As the Head of Sales you will manage the Inside Sales team and recruit when needed to grow this.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Head of Sales we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Science subject such as Biology, Biomaterials, Marine Biology, Life Science, Biomedical Science or Immunology.

2. Proven industry experience building and managing distributor channels, with a proven track record of sales success.

3. A working knowledge and experience with cell culture / media / reagent businesses would be beneficial.
