Role Overview

HRS have an exciting opportunity for Head of Site & Business Development - Life Science to join a leading scientific service provider with offices across the UK. based in the Republic of Ireland. As the Commercial Manager - Life Science, you will report to the CEO be responsible for managing the site in the Republic of Ireland, as well driving sales through business development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Head of Site & Business Development - Life Science will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Day to day operational / facilities management of the Ireland site. This includes managing a stability storage team, genetic services team, quality and sales teams to ensure efficiency and quality standards are maintained.

2. Business development and sales to increase revenue for the Ireland business, this includes targeting new clients , attending meetings and closing deals.

3. Be the senior responsible person for the site, ensuring all licenses are updated, regulations (GMP and other) are adhered to and audits are successful.

4. As the Head of Site & Business Development - Life Science you will work closely with the COO to generate increased sales of the laboratory services. This includes genetic sequencing, stability storage and sterility.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Head of Site & Business Development we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life science subject, such as genomics, biotechnology, biology, analytical chemistry or microbiology.

2. Proven industry experience in Life science service provider, doing business development and closing sales. Experience in Genetic sequencing (NGS or Sanger) sales, sterility testing or stability storage sales is advantageous.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience managing and growing commercial teams. Experience with facility management / site management is desirable. and growing teams, as well as experience
