Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Invivo Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Hertfordshire area for an initial 6 months (Potential to go permanent). As the Invivo Scientist you will be responsible for executing a broad range of assays (including flow cytometry and sorting, cell-based and immune function/response assays and reporter assays) to support in vitro and in vivo model development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Invivo Scientist (6 months) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Perform most common animal tasks: animal handling, administration of test agents through ip, iv, sc, blood collection, necropsy

2. Perform routine analytical tests with RNA, DNA and protein samples to include q-PCR, Western blot, ELISA, enzyme activity assays

3. Skilled in design, organization and execution of in vivo studies, collection and analysis of readouts and generation of timely reports

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Research Assistant - 6 months we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Scientific / biological discipline

2. Proven industry experience in cell culture techniques (primary cultures and cell lines), cell co-culture systems

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with working invivo models
