Role Overview

We are currently looking for a IT Security Analyst to join a leading Biotech based in the Oxfordshire area. As the IT Security Analyst you will be responsible for supporting information security operations and related technical controls to defend against cyber security incidents and threats

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the IT Security Analyst will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the IT Security Analyst you will be responsible for supporting information security operations and related technical controls to defend against cyber security incidents and threats

2. Execute the day-to-day administration of cyber security tools and devices, as well as first-level and second-level support for security information and event management (SIEM) controls

3. Investigate, evaluate risk and take action on security alerts, intrusion attempts, breaches, incidents, and false alarms across the IT eco-system

4. Perform threat and vulnerability assessments, in some cases followed by appropriate remedial action, to ensure systems are protected from known and potential threats and are free from known vulnerabilities

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the It Security Analyst we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant BS or MA in computer science, information security, cybersecurity or a related field

2. Prior hands-on experience in IT audit, enterprise risk management, security penetration testing, red team/incident responder, or as a junior security operations analyst

3. Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity compliance and information security management frameworks (such as Cyber Essentials, COBIT, National Institute of Standards and Technology)
