Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Service Desk Engineer to join a Managed Service Provider of leading software services to the Legal sector based in the North Cheshire area. As the Service Desk Engineer you will be responsible for helping their clients deliver first class IT services that transform the user experience and operational successes

Key Duties and Responsibilities

This is an office based role, joining a medium size service desk function delivering technical support with a large focus on delivering high quality customer service duties including keeping calm and composed whilst dealing with reported issues and having a strong will to help. The main responsibilities are as follows:

1. The Service Desk Engineer will provide technical support, responding to incidents and service requests raised with the Service Desk mainly over the phone but also via email raised tickets.

2.As part of the team you will be encouraged to successfully resolve largely Software troubleshooting and assistance of Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online ,Active Directory and Citrix XenDesktop 7.15.

3. As the Service desk engineer you will be required to log effective information from incidents and provide good documentation before escalating the query if it can’t be dealt with in the first instance.

4. In the role you must have outstanding communication skills and an excellent appreciation of customer service skills to deliver great service to clients.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Service Desk Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in an IT or Computer Science field or the equivalent experience.

2. Proven industry experience working in service / helpdesk environment.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with windows suite, Citrix and active directory.
