We are currently looking for a Junior Bioinformatician to join a Start-up Biotech company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Junior Bioinformatician you will assist the processing and analysis of multi-omics data to support drug discovery activities in the space of innate immune cells in the tumour microenvironment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work with senior team members to establish robust workflows for analysing public and propriety genomics data to advance the drug discovery platform.

2. Design, optimise and troubleshoot bioinformatic analysis.

3. Ensure code is well maintained and establish robust pipelines.

4. Process and integrate bulk and scRNA-Seq data as well as performing pathway analysis.

Role Requirements

1. Experience analysing high throughput genomics data (e.g. single cell or bulk RNA-seq)

2. Experience of research in an academic or commercial environment.

3. Excellent scripting skills in R, Python and other computational techniques.
