Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Key Account Manager - Chemicals to join a leading Chemical Distributor based in the Greater London area. As the Key Account Manager - Chemicals you will be responsible for maintaining and growing the sales in the UK market, along with managing key relationships with the companies manufacturers. This is a Home Based role, suitable for candidates across the UK.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Key Account Manager - Chemicals will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will maintain and grow sales in the UK market, maximising and sustaining the profitability of the companies product ranges.

2. You will identify key areas for development from a customer and portfolio perspective and implement new business lines in line with business group strategy.

3. As the Key Account Manager - Chemicals, you will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of key accounts, essential to the profitability of the synthesis and reactive chemistry business group

4.You will also manage a small number of key relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of the companies products.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Key Account Manager - Chemicals we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in Chemistry or a related subject i.e. Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal chemistry, Polymer and Synthetic Chemistry.

2. Proven industry experience in the UK synthesis market, including polymerisation accounts.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with both Account Management and Product Management / Supplier Management for a chemical distributor would be advantageous.
