Laboratory Support Officer

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Support Officer to join a leading drug development company based in the Kent area. As the Laboratory Support Officer you will be responsible for the smooth running of the laboratory through carrying out a variety of logistical and operation tasks.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Laboratory Support Officer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Lab Support Officer you will be responsible for the coordination of servicing and maintenance activities of the laboratory equipment, along with the maintenance and planning activities for the wider facility.

2. You will be responsible for managing the stock levels for laboratory consumables and reagents, as well as the maintenance and management of low temperature storage units.

3. As the Laboratory Support Office, you will be responsible for receipt of consumables, samples and study compounds.

4. You will be involved for the pricing negotiation with key suppliers.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Laboratory Support Office we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. A degree in a Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or other relevant fields.

2. Proven industry experience working in a laboratory support role.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with negotiating optimal prices for a business and enabling effective working relationships with colleagues and providers.
