Role Overview

Are you an experienced LC-MS/MS Bioanalytical Scientist looking for a new exciting job opportunity?

We are currently looking for a LC-MS/MS Bioanalytical Scientist to join a leading company based in the York area.

As the LC-MS/MS Bioanalytical Scientist you will be responsible for preparing, extracting and analysing biological samples using the company's validated LC-MS/MS methods.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the LC-MS Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will be working in a highly regulated GLP laboratory, preparing samples for LC-MS/MS analysis using a wide range of extraction techniques. You will be performing quantitative analysis of biomarkers or drugs in biological samples.

2. You will be responsible for the operation of analytical instrumentation and software. This includes using Sciex Triple Quad LC-MS/MS systems.

3. As the LC-MS/MS bioanalytical scientist, you will also need to have flexibility to perform diverse tasks to facilitate the smooth running of the GLP facility.

4. Additionally, you will be responsible for routinely calibrating and maintaining equipment and other laboratory systems within the company.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the LC-MS/MS Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. It is essential you have experience in performing quantitative analysis of biomarkers or drugs in biological matrices as well as an understanding of the theory and practice of LC-MS and it's application in quantitative analysis.

2. Experience using Sciex Triple Quad LC-MS/MS systems and working in a GLP/GCP accredited laboratory is highly advantageous.

3. Understanding the role of quantitative analysis in the drug development process and knowledge of the underlying principles of analytical chemistry and DMPK would also be desirable.
