Role Overview

We are currently working with a key client of our who are looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer. The company are a leading pharmaceutical company with a global presence, and this facility is based in the Leicestershire area.

The overall responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer will be to provide engineering support to the Pharma business unit to deliver all maintenance activities (Planned and Unplanned) ensuring all operate efficiently and are maintained in line with Business and Regulatory compliance.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Maintenance Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:


1. Ensure that all maintenance activities are completed within the constraints of the environmental, HS&E legislation and any future compliances.

2. Assist with the management and completion of Facilities PEMAC schedules.

3. Supervise and coordinate outside contractors as required, issuing Permits to Work accordingly.

4. Develop and modify Facilities site layout drawings as required.

5. Support Pharma Services with completion of Planned & Unplanned maintenance activities.

6. Support Process Engineers with change control activities.

7. Assist with the coordination / completion of the weekly maintenance routines.

8. Assist with the management of the Facilities maintenance documentation.

9. Assist with the generation and management of validation documentation as requested.

10. Some weekend supervisory work will be needed to coordinate & completion of maintenance works.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Maintenance Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. HNC in Construction or Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience (eg. City and Guilds level 2 in a relevant discipline).

2. Proven industry experience working in a maintenance environment, ideally this experience will have been gained within the pharmaceutical industry and working to GXP compliance. You will also have experience using document control/maintenance management systems

3. Please demonstrate the following - Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages (to include Word, Excel and Outlook), effective communication skills (verbal and written), ability to work a part of a team to deliver business objectives and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all work carried out
