Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Pathology Specialist to join a leading Life Science company based in the Nottinghamshire area. As the Pathology Specialist you will be responsible for consulting with health care experts and clients to build relationships and create sales opportunities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Account Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Pathology Specialist, you will take a consultative approach to engage with the NHS and hospital staff to create sales opportunities

2. It will be your responsibility to maintain a high level of knowledge about the services you are representing, attending training and remaining aware of trends within the industry, reporting this back to your manager.

3. You will engage with healthcare professionals to build strong relationships, as well as nurturing current relationships within the southern territory, attending sales meetings and activities.

4. In your role as Pathology Specialist, you will take part in exhibitions and conferences. This is in addition to continuously complying with safe working practices and quality control procedures at all times.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Account Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Life Science subject e.g. Biomedical Sciences, Pathology, Biological Sciences.

2. Proven industry experience in a pathology or histology lab setting.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with the processing of tissue for cancer biology would be beneficial.
