Role Overview

Hyper Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for a Pharmaceutical Development Team Leader to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Herefordshire area. As the Pharmaceutical Development Team Leader you will have responsibility of managing and overseeing product and manufacturing process development, comprising of the Formulation, Analytical Development and Pilot Production teams based at an purpose-built facility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Pharmaceutical Development Team Leader will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Take responsibility for all aspects of New Product Development (Formulation and Analytical), Technical Transfer to commercial scale and IMP/Stability Trial Production, providing technical support at each step to ensure deadlines and budgets are adhered to.

To build, maintain and strengthen relationships with other departments (e.g. New Product Research, Clinical, Marketing, Quality, Regulatory, Purchasing and Supply) to ensure development plans are followed for each product.

Provide technical/formulation expertise to improve existing commercial products and assist in investigations and their outcomes (NCR’s and CAPA’s) to promote continuous improvement and compliance, including being responsible for creating/reviewing documentation and ensuring facilities remain GXP compliant, as well as representing the department during audit/inspections

Day to Day management and training of the Pharmaceutical Development Teams to ensure work priorities as identified by the New Product Research Team are communicated and actioned.

Ensure all analytical methodology is developed/validated during the new product development process, as well as evaluating any changes in packaging, raw materials or processes to both new and existing product formulations.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Pharmaceutical Development Team Leader we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree or equivalent in a Life Science Related Discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in the development of Pharmaceutical Products with management of both Analytical/Formulation departments.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with the development of Topical Pharmaceutical Products would be advantageous.
