Postdoctoral Scientist

We are currently looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area, on an initial 18 month contract. As the Postdoctoral Scientist you will be responsible for supporting development of gene therapy vectors.

This is a unique opportunity to join an Antibody Discovery team working to shape the next generation of antibody based therapeutics.

Your duties as the Postdoctoral Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Using B cell technologies to discover high quality antibodies.

2. The Postdoctoral Scientist will use in vitro assays to validate novel gene therapy vectors.

3. The Postdoctoral Scientist will have experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques including PCR and cloning.

4. Experience in antibody discovery technologies including hybridoma, phage display, B cell culture and flow cytometry would be advantageous.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Postdoctoral Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD in a gene therapy / immunology or antibody discovery / characterisation discipline.

2. Proven experience in hybridoma, phage display, B cell culture and flow cytometry would be beneficial.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
