Role Overview

This role involves collaborating with upstream process scientists to perform the authoring, reviewing and editing of various scientific reports related to the process development activities stated above, including Process Understanding and Characterisation data sets as well as GMP batch data as required. This role will be critical in ensuring that highly technical documentation is concise and understandable to readers that have a relevant scientific background. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative medicines for the treatment of patients with severe diseases by ensuring accurate and timely documentation of process development data to support control strategies, tech transfer and regulatory filings. The role also brings exposure to the scientific and technical aspects of upstream process development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Your role as a Process Development Scientific Report Writer will include authoring of upstream process development documents, which may include but not be limited to protocols and reports related to Process Understanding and Process Characterisation Studies, reporting of metadata associated with GMP batches and Scale Down Model verification, cell bank testing and in-process analytical methods.

2. Organisation, formatting and plotting of data as appropriate to ensure data is analysed and presented in the most effective manner

3. Summarising complex data sets and conclusions to provide a clear and concise overview of what was carried out and what was found.

4. Coordinate with Process Development scientists as needed to maintain consistency across documents within and across projects. Identify trends and differences between documents and data sets and recommend improvements to document templates and/or methods for collecting/generating data sets.

Role Requirements

1. Relevant degree in the field of life sciences (i.e. Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Science or any other related subject).

2. Proven industry experience in scientific writing, displaying excellent written and verbal English language skills.

3. A working and practical knowledge of upstream process development, biochemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, statistics, analytical methods, cellular metabolism and physiology is preferred
