Role Overview

We are currently looking for a QC Biochemist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company based in the West Sussex area. As the QC Biochemist you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the products released to market by performing analytical testing and laboratory work to regulated standards, and undertaking Non Conformance and Out of Specification investigations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the QC Biochemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1.You will complete testing of raw materials, intermediates or finished products as required.

2. As the QC Biochemist you will be expected to comply with all GMP regulations as instructed by management. This will include following SOPs.

3. You will also be expected to maintain accurate and complete records on assay sheets, logbooks and the LIMS system in accordance with Data Integrity principles.

4. You will perform problem solving on QC testing issues and equipment failures.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Biochemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biochemistry or Life Sciences related discipline plus industry experience.

2. Proven industry experience working in a GMP environment.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience using ELISA and SDS-Page.
