Role Overview

We are currently looking for a QC Manager to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Kent area. As the QC Manager you will be responsible for managing the QC laboratory and QC team on a daily basis with priorities being set as per business needs, perform analytical testing as required and report accurate results. To support the production department with regards to testing schedules.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the QC Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the QC Manager you will support day to day management and oversight of the QC laboratory, training of staff and to implement regular staff performance reviews for department members. Lead and manage staff including relevant tasks as required with assistance from the HR department.

2. You will complete writing, revision and approval of key quality documentation. Write up reports for QC activities. Verification and approval of testing data generated within the Q.C Laboratory. Adherence to GMP requirements.

3. As the QC Manager you will undertake laboratory investigations and OOS reports when required as well as troubleshooting and maintenance on Q.C equipment. You will coordinate with the production department with regards to testing schedules.

4. You will liaise with the QA department and General Manager on project work.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in Chemistry or closely related subject.

2. Proven industry experience leading a team within a QC environment at a Pharmaceutical company.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience supporting day to day management and oversight of the QC laboratory and working to GMP guidelines.
