Role Overview

Hyper Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for a QC Release Manager to join a leading Medical Device company based in the Norfolk area. As the QC Release Manager you will be responsible for leading the release team to ensure that laboratory work and validation activities match the needs of the business, and act as a role model for the Quality and Regulatory function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the QC Release Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will provide a responsive and cost effective QC testing service to customers, and deliver high quality testing to required cGMP standards and in accordance with the company Quality System. This will include maintaining knowledge of analytical method and laboratory equipment validation in accordance to ICH guidelines.

2. The QC Release Manager will take the lead on all compliance related issues, ensuring non-conformances are reported, CAPA's implemented. Identify any trends and ensure these are raised; lead investigation using established methodology such as 8D to determine root cause, and verify improvements made to ensure QC processes remain GMP compliant.

3. Lead, motivate, develop and train the QC Release Team and provide appropriate scientific input to ensure objectives and deadlines are met, monitor KPI's on the QC Teams performance and report these regularly to the Laboratory Manager and Board as required.

4. Ensure continued compliance to company and external regulatory (ICH) quality standards, be a advocate of the internal H&S policy to meet external and internal regulatory requirements.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Release Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Educated to degree standard with Pharmaceutical and/or medical device experience.

2. Proven industry experience in a Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Manufacturing environment in the QC Function

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with a LIMS system and managing a team of scientists/QC analysts would be advantageous.
