Role Overview

Are you an experienced Research & Development Electronics Engineer looking for a new exciting opportunity?

We are currently looking for a R&D Electronics Engineer to join an expanding life science and technology company based in Glasgow for an 18 month initial contract.

As the R&D Electronics Engineer you will be working within a close-knit cross functional team to assist in the research, development and commercialisation of a novel diagnostic medical device diagnostic platform.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the R&D Electronics Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will primarily be involved in the design of the electronics, production of circuit boards and testing of the radio frequency control system for the company's product. In addition, you will also be responsible for liaison and oversight of external contractors involved with instrument design and software control required for the instrument.

2. You will be responsible for leading the development of the electronics and control system for the radio frequency system which is key for the system functions using the company's device.

3. As the electronics engineer, you will be leading the interview between the company and any external contractors for instrument development and integration of the functional systems within the instrument.

4. You will also write and follow SOPs, maintain laboratory equipment, records and record results in accordance with Company Policy.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the R&D Electronics Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant BSc degree in Physics / Electronics and experience in the design of RF control systems is essential.

2. You will need to have practical technical expertise in designing and manufacture of electronic circuits and boards.

3. Experience in, or understanding of, software control systems and programming of electronic systems will be an advantage.
