R&D Scientist

We are currently looking for an R&D Scientist to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Cambridge area. As the R&D Scientist, you will be responsible for delivering high-value technical innovation within the Protein Chemistry group, part of the Protein and Process Analytics R&D team.

Your duties as the R&D Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Perform experiments, analyze data, and report results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
2. Ensure scientific data accuracy and derive meaningful conclusions against experimental goals.
3. Develop skills and expertise in the Protein Chemistry area, focusing on product quality attributes such as size variants, charge variants, and glycan analysis.
4. Maintain accurate and timely records to appropriate quality standards and prepare high-quality data summaries.

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the R&D Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in a scientific discipline.
2. Proven industry experience in an analytical laboratory setting.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with liquid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, or mass spectrometry applied to protein analysis.
