Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Research Scientist to join an exciting biotherapeutic company, in the early stages of clinical research, in the Cambridge area. As the Research Scientist you will be responsible for developing models of disease to evaluate new bacterial medicines.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:You will be contributing to the development of new medicines while establishing and developing mouse models, specifically to carry out in-vivo studies. You will be experimenting in the testing of novel therapeutic agents and working with cell assays to test out the success of these products.
You will be analysing clinical datasets and participating in studies of multiple cancers which will include non-small cell lung cancer and melanoma. You will have the opportunity to be part of a company that addresses fundamental barriers in microbiome genomics, mass gut bacterial isolation, patient microbiome profiling and identification of therapeutic bacteria.
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in a biological discipline, preferably a PhD
2. Proven industry or academic experience in the immunology/immuno-oncology field
3. Holder of a Personal Home Office License / Animal License
