We are currently looking for a Research Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in the Berkshire area for an initial 6 months. As the Research Scientist you will be responsible for using a variety of techniques to support with protein analysis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Research Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Following a 2 month training plan, the Research Scientist will be expected to support analytical development activities including performing experiments, analysing data and reporting results.

2. The Research Scientist will have theoretical knowledge of protein analysis techniques such as HPLC, mass spectrometry (LCMS), ELISA and Western Blot.

3. The Senior Scientist will have an interest in working in a biologics cGMP or drug discovery setting.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Research Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biochemistry or Biotechnology (Analytical or Protein Biochemistry).

2. Proven industry experience in protein analysis using HPLC, mass spectrometry (LCMS), Western Blot and ELISA.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with protein analysis.
