Role Overview

Are you an experienced analytical chemist looking for your next role in a world leading pharmaceutical company? We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in Northern Ireland. As the Senior Analyst you will be responsible for developing and verifying methods for testing drug products and undertaking stability testing in a GMP laboratory, in addition to developing SOPs, troubleshooting methods and supervising a team of scientists.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Senior Analyst will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. To use analytical chemistry techniques, including HPLC and Dissolution, and stability testing techniques to assist in the development of drug materials, intermediates and products in a GMP environment.

2. To maintain records of all completed analytical work, and to ensure all work complies with high quality standards.

3. To periodically review SOPs, methods and analytical documentation within the laboratory.

4. To liaise with senior staff and other departments to support project development.

5. To assign tasks to, and monitor the work of, a team of technicians and analysts who report to the Senior Analyst.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Analyst we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Chemistry or Life Science subject with a significant Chemistry component.

2. Proven industry experience working in a GMP pharmaceutical laboratory.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with method development of analytical and stability testing techniques, including HPLC and Dissolution.

4. Experience in line managing or supervising a team (not essential, but please highlight this if you have experience).
