Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Computational Chemist to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Senior Computational Chemist you will be responsible for leading computational activities to support the drug discovery processKey Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties as the Senior Computational Chemist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. As the Senior Computational Chemist you will be providing computational expertise to impact upon integrated drug discovery programs and dedicated CADD projects
2. You will be leading computational projects including CADD standalone projects, delivering on objectives, managing resources, finance and client communication
3. Using your Computational Chemistry knowledge you will provide broader scientific leadership, contributing and leading cross departmental projects and helping define future scientific direction
4. Promote high scientific visibility of Discovery capabilities internally and externally
Role Requirements
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Computational Chemist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in a Chemistry or a closely related field and further evidence of a PHD in a computational
2. Proven industry experience in leading CADD projects within drug discovery
3. In depth knowledge of commercial molecular modelling software, data visualisation and pipelining tools
