Senior Process Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical company based in the Durham area. As the Senior Process Engineer you will be responsible for Delivery of Technology Transfer objectives and delivery through others technology transfer objectives.

Your duties as the Senior Process Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Specify, purchase, design, qualify and handover manufacturing systems to Asset Teams
ensuring plant modifications have credible delivery plans

2. Collaborate with technical experts gain knowledge of the
technology and regulatory issues that impact on the biopharmaceutical businesses

3.Lead the transfer and scale up of new processes and technologies to the manufacturing plants
And make sure all are compliant with EHS and cGMP regulations.

4.Manage the interface between R&D and Manufacturing to ensure processes are transferred
accurately and efficiently through manufacturing records

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Process Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. An honours degree or higher qualification in Chemical Engineering (or
equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the areas of process development scale-up, technical transfer, plant design, qualification and technical support.

2. Proven industry experience under sterile or aseptic conditions

3. The job holder will be required to work flexible hours to manage peak work demands
which may include periods of shift work for plant start-ups and technical investigations.
