Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Production Manager to join a global Pharmaceutical business base in the Wiltshire area. As the Senior Production Manager you will be responsible for delivering the operational capability for a cGMP compliant manufacturing facility. You will oversea the successful manufacture, fill, inspection and packaging of drug products, in line with the companies EHS regulations, quality regulations, and external regulatory compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Senior Production Manager will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Senior Production Manager you will optimize performance outcomes within the manufacturing unit by providing leadership and direction to the team. This will include leading a matrix organizational structure to ensure cross functional alignment on priorities, driving head count and succession planning for future needs. You will develop and maintain a robust training plan, driving performance management and ensuring development plans are in place for all team members, including both personal and technical development.

2. You will coach and mentor staff to ensure products are manufactured and documentation completed in accordance with GMP, Standard Operating Procedures and other regulatory agency requirements.

2. Look for opportunities to drive continuous improvement initiatives and the introduction of new products, equipment and processes across the business, as well as ensuring the work is performed and delivered in-line with established processes and procedures. Develop and initiate strategic development programmes relating to improvements in manufacture, filling, inspection and packing.

3. As the Senior Production Manager you will comply with all systems, processes and procedures in line with statutory/ legislative/ quality requirements. This will include investigating and leading process related deviations to ensure manufacturing, filling and packaging activities are compliant with cGMP. Drive timely completion of DRs, CAPAs, and CCs as agreed with the department manager and drive effective corrective and preventative actions for GMP incidents, troubleshooting situations.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Production Manager we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. You will ideally be degree qualified in an Engineering, Scientific or Business related discipline. Qualifications in Lean Six sigma would be beneficial, i.e, Green Belt/Black Belt.

2. Proven industry experience working in a sterile manufacturing facility or similar cGMP compliant facility is essential.

3. Demonstrated leadership experience in a Pharmaceutical environment, driving change, continuous improvement and manufacturing initiatives will be required.
