Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Scientist - Stem Cell Biology to join a leading Bio-pharmaceutical company based in the Central Belt - Scotland area. As the Senior Scientist - Stem Cell Biology you will be responsible for working with Stem Cells and Molecular Biology for Cell Therapy development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Senior Scientist - Stem Cell Biology will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Culturing and differentiating pluripotent stem cells such as induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and embroyonic stem cells (ESCs) to a variety of cell lineages.

2. Performing cell based assays such as ELISAs, cell proliferation or cell death assays.

3. As a Senior Scientist - Stem Cell Biology, you will performed immunology and molecular biology techniques such as flow cytometry, RNA isolation or qPCR.

4. Working with computer software (e.g. GraphPad Prism or FlowJo) and collating information or documentation from data analysis.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Scientist - Stem Cell Biology we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant PhD or extensive industry experience within Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cells, Cancer therapy.

2. Proven industry experience in of Stem Cell culture, ideally with experience of the differentiation of human iPSCs (Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells).

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with analytical techniques such as qPCR, RT-qPCR, Western blotting, Flow Cytometry, ELISAs and other cell based assays, .
