We are currently looking for a Senior Web Developer to join a leading Drug Discovery company based in the Hertfordshire area. As the Senior Web Developer you will help drive the development of state-of-the-art web tools for drug design and data analysis for the pharmaceutical industry, including end-to-end software development: full-stack web development, software architecture, product specification and project planning, and mentoring developers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Frontend development within drug discovery web applications using VueJS, JavaScript and TypeScript. You will also use Python, Django and GraphQL for backend development.

2. Deployment with Docker on AWS (Linux/Terraform)

3. Write clear, organised and maintainable code.

4. Communicate technical concepts clearly and at an appropriate level with stakeholders including colleagues, collaborators and customers.

Role Requirements

1. 4+ years professional web development experience.

2. Demonstrable product development experience using a relevant subset of Python (Django), JavaScript and/or TypeScript, contemporary frontend frameworks (VueJS, React), Git, Linux, Docker and AWS.

3. Strong communication skills and a passion for problem solving.
