Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Sitecore Web Developer to join a leading Scientific company based in the East Riding of Yorkshire area. As the Sitecore Web Developer you will be responsible for delivering high level digital experiences using Sitecore and related technologies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Sitecore Web Developer is a lead role contributing to the continuous development of the team and strong development capability. The key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. The Sitecore Web Developer will need to be sitecore certified with a good level of experience as a Sitecore developer and excellent development skills, particularly with a focus on MVC and service-oriented architectures (in particular, Web API)
2. The role will work alongside product owners + stakeholders to understand, shape, specify and implement new requirements.

3. The role will be working will need to show a good understanding of web protocols, architectures, infrastructure, web servers (IIS), proxies, load balancing, high availability, and the delivery using the MS Azure cloud


4. As the Sitecore Web Developer, you will have the ability to manage your own tasks and work to deadlines as well as working closely with the wider team to help problem solve, provided estimates, and warn of issues as soon as they become apparent.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Sitecore Web Developer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Computer Science or IT related field

2. Strong experience as a Sitecore developer and excellent development skills, particularly with a focus on MVC and service-oriented architectures (in particular, Web API).

3. Certified Sitecore developer (version 8 or above) with strong understanding and experience across multiple versions and scenarios.
