Software Developer - Java

We are currently looking for a Software Developer to join a leading pharmaceutical company that specialises in the identification and treatment of cancer, based in the Oxfordshire area. As the Software Developer you will actively contribute towards the development of software for customers both internal and external, and work towards the completion of your own projects.

Your duties as the Software Developer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. You will play an integral role in developing the software frameworks for the Computational Biology team, whilst honing your own skills to further your understanding of software development.

2. You will work closely with your colleagues to ensure that any introduced software features match with agreed requirements.

3. You will use your knowledge of all things software to provide experience and know-how into the development of Java applications, SQL databases and other web development technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Software Developer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. At least a BSc in Computer Science or related discipline.

2. A working knowledge and practical experience with applying object-oriented design principles to the development of Java applications.
